Harry and I were in London – that’s right people, HARRY was in Europe! (my husband doesn’t like long flights so this was a treat for me). After much research I found the Sky Garden and had to see this garden in the sky with great views.
When we arrived we joined a line of people also with reservations waiting to go up. The reservation is free but a must if you plan on seeing this attraction. The wait was due to security….don’t forget your passport or drivers license and your ticket, or you may find yourself out of luck.
We thought this attraction was worth the wait. This is the first window you will see. From here you can go out to the terrace for unobstructed views and great photo ops.
As you walk up the steps there are plants on the right and windows everywhere.
After the climb, there are more windows and views.
This is a view from the terrace. See the Tower Bridge? The next day we were to take an elevator to the top to see the exhibition there. We could see the Sky Garden building.
There are a few restaurants and a bar but then this special, free event becomes expensive as the prices are quite pricey.
We opted to meet family and have a meal and drinks somewhere else.
We stayed for about an hour and that was plenty of time to enjoy this garden in the sky. Down the block is Leadenhall Market, a good place to grab a meal and a beer. Have you been to a place with a great view? Have you been to the Sky Garden?
