When our party of 8 walked into this restaurant, we were greeted by the owners – Dino and Tony. As the meal progressed I felt as though I was at a family dinner. In fact, there was a picture of them as kids hanging on the wall. The owners would take turns coming over periodically to joke around and make sure all was well.
No menus for us… the food would just appear. Wine, antipasto, followed by an assortment of fried appetizers, pasta and pizza, then dessert – little cookies, tiramisu, espresso – bravissmo! The food was fresh and tasty – pasta like grandma’s, little cookies better then any bakery! This establishment appeared to be well liked by a steady stream of locals.
The eatery is not in the center of the tourist district which was a refreshing change of scenery and ambiance.
So if you are ever in Rome, look up Dino and Anthony, I’m sure they will greet you like you are family!
